THE Spinnaker Tower will be lit up red, white and blue tonight to celebrate Portsmouth hosting the Fifa Women’s World Cup 2015 qualifier between England and Turkey.

The tower will also be lit up the night before the September 26 match at Fratton Park.

England internationals Alex Scott and Jordan Nobbs visited the tower, along with members of the Portsmouth Ladies FC team and chairman David Coyle.

Alex said: ‘We are extremely honoured that it will be lit up in the England colours in the run-up to our qualifier. It is a really important match for us and we hope that as many people as possible will be inspired by the lights and come down to Fratton Park to cheer us on.’
