FAREHAM Boxing Club is set for a huge boost as 30 people take part in a fundraising walk today.

H&T Pawnbrokers in West Street, Fareham, arranged the walk, which was due to start outside the store at 10.30am.

The walkers will stop for a refreshment break at The Wicor Mill pub in White Hart Lane at the half way point.
Participants will be collecting donations along the way.

The store has raised £60 for the club this year.

H&T Pawnbrokers’ store manager Jacqui Price said: ‘We are invested in our community and want to do all we can to support the club.

‘Our customers have told us how much they support our efforts and are glad to see the community spirit in Fareham is alive and kicking.’

Fareham Boxing Club treasurer Shelly Whiffin said: ‘We are overwhelmed by the support of the community and in particular H&T Pawnbrokers.

‘With their help we can continue to run the club and give people of all ages access to sport.’
