A SPONSORED dog walk and fun day have been arranged to raise money for two charities.

Caroline Cogan, owner of Dandinis Dog Grooming set up the fun day which will help raise funds for Portsmouth City Kennels and Serbian Forgotten Paws.

Caroline is calling on people to take part in the three-and-a-half mile walk and then enjoy the rest of the day with stalls, bouncy castles and refreshments.

She said: ‘We are raising money for the Portsmouth City Kennels which struggles financially and it nearly closed down due to lack of funds at some point in the recent past.

‘It is a very worthwhile cause which a lot of people in the Portsmouth area should be interested in raising money for.

‘We are also raising money for Serbian Forgotten Paws, a charity helping dogs in Serbia.

‘Both charities have very little financial backing so raising money themselves is hard.’

The fun day is taking part on June 23 at Alexandra Park, Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth.
