PUPILS from a Gosport infant school took on some unusual sports alongside their parents to raise money for Sport Relief.

Leesland Infants took part in circuit training, parachute games, Alaskan baseball and a mini-marathon.

Pupil Gabriella Foscheri, five, said the parachute games were her firm favourite, but that she also enjoyed the baseball.

Gabriella said: ‘We lifted the parachute up and down and it had balls on it. It was fun. Then we danced and played baseball. Some people were fielders and some were kickers. We had to kick the ball and run around the bench and the fielders had to catch the ball.’

Teacher Laura Street said: ‘They did the games with their parents and they collected sponsorship. We have managed to raise £812 so far and not all the sponsorship forms are in yet.

‘It has been really good. All the pupils did so well. They all tried so hard and took on the challenge. They all worked really hard and did really well.’
