St George's fun helps two good causes

PRIDE for England helped to raise more than £600 for charity.

Whistler’s Fish and Chips, which has shops in Fareham, Hayling Island and Westbourne, held a fundraiser on St George’s Day.

The day raised £523 for Friend Finder, a charity set up by Havant teenager Lewis Hine.

The scheme aims to give young people who struggle to get to school because of illnesses the chance to make lasting friendships.

The day also raised £85 to help rebuild a honeybee aviary on Hayling Island that was damaged in storms.
