A BIRD flew into the eaves of a house and got its beak trapped.

A starling flew into a home in Ditcham Crescent, Leigh Park, yesterday evening.

The RSPCA called the fire service to help with the rescue.

One crew from Havant was called at 6.30pm, and was there for 10 minutes,

A ladder was put up, and an animal rescue officer helped free the bird, before bringing it back down.

The bird was handed to the RSPCA, which checked it over.
