A THIRD Community Day is to take place at a Portsmouth fire station.

On Monday, Cosham fire station in Wayte Street will host its next information day, from 10am to 2pm.

The pilot scheme sees the station host a number of different organisations that can give advice and information on a range of topics.

The organ donor registration team will be on hand, along with Age UK Portsmouth and information on therapeutic care.

People can talk to firefighters about fire concerns and book in home safety visits.

Firefighter Al Patrick, of Cosham red watch, said: ‘The Community Days have been going well.

‘From our last one we had 90 referrals for home safety visits, which was an increase from the first week.

‘We’re inviting everyone from the community to come along and get information.’

The Community Day takes place each Monday until October, except for bank holidays.
