THE glorious surroundings of a country park in autumn will provide budding novelists and poets with inspiration at a writers’ workshop.

The workshop, at Staunton Country Park, is part of award-winning writer Claire Collison’s residency at The Spring, in Havant, next month.

It will involve a walk around the park, in Havant, which organisers hope will get the creativity flowing.

Participants will be encouraged to write and share their work in a bid to encourage confidence in their ability to tell a tale.

A notepad, pens, packed lunch and suitable walking footwear are essential but afternoon tea and cake will be provided.

Tickets for the event, on November 12, are £17.50 and can be bought from The Spring on (023) 9247 2700.
