There is still time for people to sign up for Meals on Wheels during the festive period, including a turkey Christmas lunch with all the trimmings.
Anyone aged 55 years or over who finds it difficult to prepare their own food because of ill health or a disability can order the service, run by Hampshire County Council, from one to seven days per week.
The subsidised cost for the two-course meal is £3.80.
The afternoon tea service includes a savoury pastry, a sandwich, a piece of cake and a serving of fruit and a juice drink, and costs £3.50.
Meals on Wheels are available 365 days a year and are delivered to the recipient’s home.
It is also there at times of need, such as returning home from hospital.
Anyone who is interested can phone 01962 779338 or complete an online application at hants.gov.uk/meals-on-wheels.
