PUPILS and teachers at a primary school are set to mark the end of the Second World War.
Front Lawn Primary, in Broadmere Avenue, Leigh Park, will hold a street party on May 8 for VE day.
The date marks the Allied Forces’ acceptance of the surrender of Nazi Germany at the end of the Second World War.
Youngsters and staff at the school will be wearing 1940s-style clothes, with the party starting at 2pm.
Music from the era will be played as part of the occassion, with bunting and flags flying.
