THE South Downs has been captured in a painting that will be used to raise money for a hospice.

The work of artist Peter Iden, who died earlier this year, is to be used on the official Christmas card of The Pallant Bookshop, to support St Wilfrid’s Hospice, in Chichester.

Mr Iden is nationally recognised and his modern abstract paintings of the South Downs and other landscapes have been widely including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. The cards cost £5 for six and are available at hospice shops in Emsworth and Chichester.
