DISABILITY campaigners have handed an award to a supermarket.
Gosport Access Group Disability Forum gave Lidl in Forton Road, Gosport, the Disabled Customer Friendly award.
Jeanette Perry, from the group, paid a visit to the store to give them the award.
She said: ‘Having first-hand knowledge how friendly the staff are I was very keen to deliver the award.
‘The store is very easy to negotiate around in small mobility scooters and staff are always willing to carry goods out to customers’ cars and larger mobility scooters – as they have helped me on occasion.’
Ms Perry gave the award to the manager, Martin Wildman.
