Action for Blind People has organised a free two-day programme to support those who are visually impaired.

The meetings will provide those who are dealing with any form of sight loss with practical and emotional support.

People who use the services provided by Action for Blind People will be welcomed to attend the Finding Your Feet course at the Marriott Hotel, in Southampton Road, North Harbour, which will be held on September 23-24.

Volunteers will be on hand to help people with sight loss overcome the fear of isolation, supporting them in adjusting to different situations.

The meetings will also provide specialised workshops, delivered by expert facilitators who have either a personal experience or a professional understanding of visual impairment.

Lizzie Abnett, from Action for Blind People, said the group do not want people in the city to feel isolated.

The two meetings will start at 10am. For further information e-mail salisbury@actionforblindpeople.org.uk
