FAMILIES with rooms to spare after children have flown the nest are being asked to consider taking in a young lodger.

West Sussex County Council is looking for homes for young people aged 16 to 21 who may be care leavers or are in need of a home yet cannot live with their families and are too old to be fostered.

An open evening takes place next month for anyone wanting to find out more. The event is in Field Place, The Boulevard, Worthing, from 6.30pm to 9pm on October 4.
