SHOPPERS got a surprise when Scouts danced in the streets in a ‘flash mob’ stunt.
Music pulsated down the street as members of the Gosport Gang Show broke into their routine in Fareham,
The flash mob was organised to promote the Gosport Gang Show, which is being performed at Ferneham Hall.
The show is a fast-moving musical revue featuring the talents of 130 youngsters from the Gosport and Fareham Scout and Guide Associations.
Show producer Bill Reed said: ‘Despite the weather, we had about 40 people come along to do the flash mob.
‘It was the idea of Scout leader Alison Pettit, to promote the show.
‘I think it was great as it got people’s attention and hopefully more people will come.’
The flash mob started with a few people dancing.
Gradually, more joined in, until finally the dancers removed their jackets to reveal their Scout uniforms.
Retired Valerie Johnson, of Beaumont Rise, Fareham, said:‘I thought it was brilliant and you couldn’t fault them.
‘They put on a real, good show and makes you realise what youngsters can really do.’
