PUPILS from Swanmore Primary School received the royal treatment at this year’s annual summer fete.

They took on the role of kings, queens, princes and princesses as they were transported around the fete by horse-drawn carriage, provided by Hayward’s Carriages.

The event, organised by Meon Valley Lions Club, provided crowds with a feast of food, a display of classic cars and live entertainment.

During the day the Lions Club raised more than £3,000 for its chosen charity.
