YOUNG carers were treated to a trip to a theme park courtesy of a Lions Club.

The Lions Club of Swanwick took a coach full of young carers and their families from Fareham charity Kids to Paulton’s Park for the day on Sunday.

Lions Clubs from throughout the south took children and young people to the park for the day.

The Swanwick group took 50 people.

Club secretary Barry Woolcott said: ‘We hope that these wonderful deserving children found it to be a memorable day filled with enjoyment for everyone.’

Mr Woolcott also thanked Waitrose of Locks Heath, which provided the group with bags containing snacks and drinks for the day.
