ELITE athletes will train young swimmers in Gosport.

The Olympic and Commonwealth stars Adam Whitehead, Adele Carlsen and Craig Figes will be at Gosport Leisure Centre, off Forest Way, in Gosport on Sunday, July 21.

The event, from 9am to midday, will see youngsters learn skills and play games.

Those include learning about being a lifeguard, synchronised swimming, fast swimming and mini polo.

Families can meet the athletes and get autographs, take photographs and see their Olympic and Commonwealth medals.

The day is organised by Australian swimwear
firm Zoggs, which is encouraging children to get into the water.

There are 150 free places at the event, which is for children aged between seven and 14 who can swim 25m unaided.

Call the centre on (023) 9253 4950 to book.
