SWIMMERS have taken to the water as they look to cross the Solent for the Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation.
The 4.6 mile swim to Ryde from Stokes Bay, in Gosport, is part of a fundraising push to raise £100,000 for the charity.
They money will be used to replace a caravan at Church Farm Holiday Village at Pagham near Chichester.
Ex-Pompey player Dave Waterman set up the charity in memory his son Oakley who died ten yeas ago.
He is taking part in the Solent swim this morning with brother Lee and other supporters.
They are expected to reach Ryde at midday.
