A LEISURE centre will be taking part in the world’s biggest swim.

The swimathon sees teams take to the water to raise money for Sport Relief.

Fareham Leisure Centre will holding two days of swimming on Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22.

The centre is looking for teams to participate, covering either just under one mile or just over three miles, split between the team members any way they like.

Individuals of all abilities can also take part, covering three distances.

Duncan Jefford, regional director for Everyone Active, which runs the centre, said: ‘We are thrilled to be supporting the Swimathon again this year. People of all ages and abilities can take part and it’s a great opportunity to raise money for charity while enjoying a fantastic workout. Sport Relief is a truly worthwhile cause so we’re encouraging as many people as possible to set up a team, take the plunge and join in the fun.’
