CHARLIE’S Angels are holding a fundraising sale for a dear friend.

Charlotte Hughes had to undergo a double leg amputation three years ago following a severe virus.

Her close group of friends call themselves Charlie’s Angels and raise money for equipment to make the mum of four’s life easier.

The table-top sale on Saturday at Clanfield Memorial Hall, South Lane, is to raise enough money to buy top of the range silicon covers for Mrs Hughes’ prosthetic legs.

Friend Zoe King, of Furzedown Crescent, Havant, is one of the Angels and has organised the event on Saturday.

Mrs King said: ‘Charlotte is on a long journey of rehabilitation having learnt to walk again on her prosthetic legs and doing the basic things in life again that we take for granted. Although she still requires some help she copes amazingly well. She struggles and is in constant pain which is controlled by drugs and yet never complains, she just gets on with it.

‘Charlotte has shown amazing bravery and courage on this life-changing journey which has inspired us to set up this fundraising committee.’

The sale is from 10am to 2pm.
