ART courses are being held at a community centre to encourage visitors to be more creative.

The Omega Centre, in Omega Street, Southsea, is holding a series of classes to help people discover their artistic side in time for a new project.

The new programme will offer evening and weekend art sessions.

But to give people a little taster, the centre is hosting trial sessions.

Led by experienced art tutors, the classes will range from line drawing to painting nightscapes.

The first set of classes are on June 21 and feature line drawing at 10am, a colour workshop at 10.30am, nightscapes at 1pm and tone drawing at 1.30pm.

There will be a further two classes on June 28 with a colour session at 10.30am and a nightscapes class at 1pm.

For more information, call the centre on (023) 9229 1346.
