PORTSMOUTH’S oldest house, Wymering Manor, will host a 1940s tea party this evening from 7.30pm to celebrate the restoration of the first of its rooms.

There will be welcome drinks in the manor’s grand hall before guests move on to the music room for a concert by Amy Baker.

It will be an opportunity to see the progress Wymering Manor Trust has made with restoring the manor since it took ownership of the building.

Tickets are £15.
