A CHARITY is offering people the chance to take part in a go-kart challenge to raise cash for their cause.

Charity Autism Hampshire, which is based in Whiteley, has exclusive use of Thruxton Kart Centre near Andover on Friday, July 3 and is appealing for people to get involved with its fun-filled Le Mans-style go-karting challenge.

Teams are made up of six people.

Mark Perry, chief executive of Senitel Housing, which has entered a team, said they were excited for the day.

Mr Perry said: ‘We’ve got a great Sentinel team together for the event, it’s a brilliant idea to have fun and raise money for Autism Hampshire at the same time.

‘We’ll have our game plan in place, hope the other teams are ready.’

Team entry includes coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, a 2.5-hour team endurance race and post-race barbecue and prize-giving.

A team entry costs £350. To book call Georgia O’Rourke on 01489 880881 (ext 208) or email georgia.orourke@autismhampshire.org.uk.
