FIREFIGHTERS rescued a teenager from a car after it crashed into railings.

Crews from Gosport fire station were called to the incident outside Hermes Court, off Heritage Way, around 11pm on Thursday night after a car left the road and crashed into railings. A spokesman from the station said a female passenger, 18, was cut out of the car and placed on a spinal board as a precaution after complaining about pain in the lower half of her body. The man driving the car was not injured.
