A COLLEGE student had a lucky escape when she was hit by a car.
The Year One student was crossing Park Road North, in Havant, when the accident happened at 2.45pm yesterday.
Her condition was at first thought to be serious and an air ambulance was called.
But she regained consciousness and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, by ambulance.
John McDougall, principle of Havant Sixth Form College, said: ‘She is one of our first year students. The air ambulance was called but wasn’t needed in the end, which is a relief.
‘Our best wishes go out to her. There will be some concern from our students about how she is doing so we will let them know. Fortunately she was conscious and talking.’
Park Road North was closed for around an hour.
