WHEN Tom Prince’s family discovered Lucius Peart was to leave Pompey, they decided they couldn’t let him go without a goodbye.
Clinton and Adele Prince, of the Tom Prince Cancer Trust, built up a strong relationship with the club’s commercial director over the years, particularly through Blue Day.
The parents of Tom, who died of bone cancer, wanted to thank him for all his hard work at the club and with their charity.
Clinton said: ‘He’s become a family friend now and we want to give him a massive thank you for everything he’s done for us.’
Lucius, who will take on a marketing role in London, said: ‘Having children myself, I can empathise with Clinton and Adele and the success of the charity and Blue Day is a testament to what lovely people they are.’
