NEIGHBOURS are hoping a new sign will help put their village on the map.

The village of Sidlesham near Chichester has a new one welcoming people to the parish.

A time capsule is buried at its base.

Corina Hall, of Sidlesham Parish Council, said: ‘A lot of people go through Sidlesham.

‘It’s a long village and they don’t appreciate the number of houses that are there.

‘I’m hoping this is the sort of thing which will make people realise.’
