AN EVENT to show the diversity of Portsmouth proved a great success.

Tastes of the World was held at Central Library, Guildhall, Portsmouth, and people had the chance to discover new cultures.

Food and music were on show from many associations in the city.

David Percival, the city council’s libraries learning and engagement manager, said: ‘Residents had lots of fun tasting cuisines from around the world, and enjoyed displays of dance, dress, and traditional arts and crafts.

‘They also had the chance to chat with local community groups.

‘We’re pleased with how well the day went, and hope to hold another one again in the future.’
