A PROLIFIC thief has been jailed for 180 days.

Chloe Dornan has repeatedly ignored community orders handed to her by the court and carried on offending.

But when she appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court charged with her latest offences she was locked up.

The 22-year-old admitted stealing 60 worth of toys from Argos in Gosport on December 15.

She also took 170 worth of toys from The Range in Gosport on November 7.

At the time she had a conditional discharge for stealing meat and coffee from the Co-op in Gregson Avenue, Gosport and yoghurts from the Co-op in Forton Road, Gosport.

The court heard Dornan, of Morris Close, Gosport, had a history of shoplifting and would not respond to community orders.
