DO you think your barber shop is a cut above the rest?
The News is giving you, our readers, the chance to give your favourite barber shop a well-deserved pat on the back.
We’re launching our Barber Shop of the Year competition as part of the Readers’ Choice awards of the year.
Independent barber shops are part of the rich fabric of our community and have a special place in the hearts of their customers.
They inspire customer loyalty in a way that few other businesses can – once you’ve found a barber shop you like, you tend to stick with it.
Editor of The News Mark Waldron said: ‘What makes your barber shop stand out from the crowd?
‘Perhaps it’s the friendly service they offer, the excellent value for money you get or the shop’s relaxing atmosphere?
‘Then again, it could just be that they cut your hair just the way you want it every time.
‘Whatever the reason is that your barber inspires your trust and loyalty, we want to hear it from you.’
The competition is open to barber shops, not individual barbers.
You can nominate any barber shop in The News circulation area you think should win.
All you have to do to take part is complete the form printed in The News today and send it in.
A short list of nominees will be unveiled on Tuesday, March 11, and voting to find the overall winner will take place throughout March.
The cut-off voting is the end of Thursday, April 3.
