THREE people have been treated for injuries after a bus and a car collided.

The incident happened just after 1pm today on the corner of Elson Road and Priory Road, Gosport.

A black Ford Fiesta with two passengers collided with one of First Hampshire’s Eclipse buses.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called to the junction of Priory Road and Elson Road at 1.08pm today.

‘We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew who treated three patients.

‘Two women were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

‘A third person was treated on the scene.’

Police closed the road while the scene was dealt with. It reopened again at 3pm.

A spokeswoman for First Hampshire said: ‘We are currently assisting the police with their investigations. Our thoughts are with the injured people and our driver who was shaken by the incident.’
