TWO accidents and a vehicle breakdown has caused traffic to queue on a stretch of the A3(M).

Part of the left hand lane of the A3(M) near Horndean is currently closed due to a broken down vehicle.

The road has been closed since 8am today, and will be shut until the vehicle is recovered.

Earlier this morning there were also two accidents on the same route.

Hampshire Constabulary were first called to a four-vehicle accident on the northbound carriageway between junction 3 Waterlooville and junction 2 Horndean at 7.10am.

Paramedics treated two people for minor injuries.

Within half an hour a second road traffic collision involving two vehicles happened just north of junction 2.

There were no injuries.
