A CENTRE which cares for children and adults is looking forward to hosting its first charity event of the year.

The Rainbow Centre in Fareham is now selling tickets for its annual Burns Night.

The event, which is in honour of Scottish poet Robert Burns, will have live music from Richard Smith of the RS Bagpipes, as well as other Scottish traditions such as haggis.

It is being held at the Ferneham Hall in Fareham after the original venue was unable to host the event.

Jess Greenwood, events organiser at The Rainbow Centre, which cares for children with cerebral palsy and adults who have Parkinsons or suffered from a stroke, said they were grateful to Ferneham Hall for stepping in.

She said: ‘It is a fantastic venue for our Burns Night as they have a fully-licensed bar, lots of room for dancing and plenty of free parking spaces.’

The event is on January 29 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £25 per person. For more information or to buy tickets visit the website at rainbowcentre.org/events or call 01329 289500.
