Tickets to go on sale for Portchester beer festival
TICKETS will go on sale later this month for a popular annual beer festival.
Up to 32 real ales, ciders and perrys will be on offer at the Portchester Beer Festival on Saturday, April 14.
The event, which is in its tenth year, will be held inside Portchester Parish Hall, at Assheton Court, Portchester.
Visitors to the afternoon and evening sessions will be treated to live performances from folk singer Shep Woolley and acoustic artist Arnie Cottrell.
There will also be a raffle and a barbecue provided by Portchester fire station.
Tickets cost £5 each and all proceeds will go towards Christian charity Faith and Football, Women’s Aid and either The Rowans Hospice or The Rainbow Centre, which supports people with disabilities.
Festival organiser Adrian Walter said: ‘It’s all about the community coming together and having a great time. It’s important to support local charities and its great that we’ve got the firefighters on board.
Tickets will be on sale from February 20. They can be purchased at The Rose in June, in Milton Road, Copnor, The Cormorant, in Castle Street, Portchester, The Sirloin of Beef, in Highland Road, Eastney, The Hole in The Wall, in Great Southsea Street, Southsea, and The Golden Lion, in High Street, Fareham.
