LETTER OF THE DAY: The fly-tipping blight

The Queen Alexandra Hospital will be ringing with the happy sounds of young voices as nursery children as young as one perform Christmas carols.

More than 60 youngsters from Tops Day Nursery will stand in the atrium of the Cosham hospital and belt out Yuletide favourites including Santa Claus Is Coming To Town by 25 three and four year-olds, Twinkle Twinkle by 15 two-year-olds and Father Christmas He Got Stuck by 14 one-year-olds.

Diane Bunday, manager of the nursery based at the Queen Alexandra site, said: 'The children are all so excited, especially the two and three-year-olds.

'They've been singing away for the last two weeks and can't wait to perform to hospital staff and visitors, to cheer everyone up.'
