SEVERAL homes were damaged by what eyewitnesses have called a ‘mini-tornado’.

Roof tiles were ripped from homes in Linden Road, Dorset Road, Highland Avenue and Murina Avenue in Bognor shortly after 9am yesterday.

Fire engines and police were called to the scene and the area was cordoned off as the storm passed through the area.

Police officers were on the scene clearing up debris and firefighters inspected the homes to assess the roof damage.

There were no reports of injuries.
