NEW touchscreen whiteboards have won the approval of teachers and students at a college three months after they were installed.

Fareham College has put in the whiteboards and projection technology in the place of chalkboards.

Peter Marsh, who runs a consulting company which led the installation of the Epson equipment, said: ‘When first introduced the teaching staff were naturally quite wary on how to embrace it. But students are more confident of the digital world and they are helping to explore the potential of the equipment.’

IT apprentice student Nathan Goldsmith said: ‘The whiteboards have a great impact on the way we learn and are so user-friendly.’
