A TRACTOR moving bales of hay was destroyed by fire.

The JCB telehandler overheated and caught fire at 10.50pm on Saturday.

The vehicle was in use by workers at the time, who moved it to a safe spot in Chilling Lane, Warsash, and called the fire service.

Six firefighters from Fareham fire station arrived and used one foam jet to put out the blaze by 11.20pm. No-one was injured.
