POThole works in Wickham have caused traffic tailbacks as they were delayed due to bad weather.

The patching work on the A334 Winchester Road were scheduled to last one day and temporary traffic lights were put up on Thursday, 18 October.

John Shore, 45, of Buddens Road, said: ‘The traffic at peak hours is bad anyway and these lights have meant that people are queuing for no reason.’

Hampshire County Council said that work been stalled while other problems caused by bad weather were fixed.
