THE leader of Portsmouth City Council has called for improved signs on the M25.
Councillor Gerald Vernon-Jackson wrote to the Highways Agency saying there isn’t anything on the eastbound carriageway at junction 10 – where it meets with the A3 Portsmouth Road – which tells motorists they can travel to Portsmouth.
Cllr Vernon-Jackson said: ‘We are a major city and since the significant investment in the Hindhead tunnel, drive times to London have been significantly reduced.’
