THE first new buses have hit Portsmouth’s roads as part of the new Park and Ride service.
Passengers have been arriving at the new junction at the M275 in Tipner, after the buses officially began running today, as reported in The News.
There are more than 650 parking spaces available within the terminal building and the service offers real-time bus departure information and visitor information.
Terry Moore, 48, from Southsea, was one of the first passengers.
He said: ‘I used to work on a bus so I like to look at how it has changed over the years.
‘I think this is very good.
‘It will take a few weeks to kick off but hopefully they might be able to extend it to other areas.
‘They could have a couple of buses running from here to Fratton Park.’
