A COMMUNITY clean up is being held at Fratton railway station tomorrow in a bid to give it a boost.

Fratton Big Local, a community organisation which has been given £1m to spend in Fratton, Portsmouth, over the next decade, will join forces with Priory School and South West Trains to clear up the station.

They will be there from 10am until midday.

The initiative is part of South West Trains Green Week and will happen on the central island of platforms two and three.

Fratton Big Local is planning to install a large wooden planter there later this year full of flowers to help brighten up the station.

Up to 10 young people from Priory School will be taking part, plus local resident volunteers.
