Hayling Ferry cancels sailings
ENGINE trouble will put the Hayling Ferry out of action until midday tomorrow.
A start motor on the ferry broke down at around 3pm this afternoon, but it still managed to make journeys using its one remaining motor.
Now driver Geoff Oliver said the decision has been taken that tonight’s 6pm sailing will be the last until the motor is replaced.
This means this evening’s 7pm journey and all journeys tomorrow until around midday will be cancelled.
He said: ‘We’ve been told the motor will be brought straight out to us, so hopefully we will have the motor by 10am and by midday we will be back up and running.’
For further details call Mr Oliver on 07702 928 154.

Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 01:19 AMIt is still going but only just!! You wouldn't want to bet your house on it being there if you needed it to get across to work and back.
