Watch out for police escorting caravan to South Harting
RESIDENTS are being urged by police to remove their cars along a rural route while police escort a vehicle.
Sussex Police are escorting a 15ft-wide caravan from the A272 near Petersfield to North Lane, South Harting, between midday and 2pm on Friday.
The route will be via the B2146, The Square, South Harting and then into North Lane and destination.
Local residents are urged not to leave any parked vehicles along this route as they would cause an obstruction which could lead to the vehicles being removed at their expense.
A police spokeswoman said: ‘We appreciate motorists’ patience as this will cause some disruption for a short time.’
She added that it was standard for police to escort abnormal loads.
