IF you are going to deliver a good luck card to Britain’s Olympic team, you might as well do it in style.
And that’s what travel agents from Thomas Cook in Havant did when they jumped aboard a restored 1964 Queen Mary open-top double-decker bus.
The team from the West Street office delivered the card to the Waterlooville branch as part of a huge relay.
All 19,000 of the company’s employees have signed the card and it is being taken on its relay across the network of 800 stores.
The only condition is that conventional public transport cannot be used – but this vintage bus was donated for the trip by Stagecoach.
Hannah Ayling, 22, the customer service manager at Havant, said: ‘It was a lovely day and really good fun.
‘We were all having a good time and there were people in the street driving by and taking a look.
‘We are doing all the wackiest and wildest ways of delivering the card.’
Joanna Cooke, the manager at the Chichester branch, cycled from the cathedral city to deliver the card to Havant.
Tomorrow staff from Waterlooville will deliver the card by fire engine to Petersfield.
