TWO cars have crashed on the A3(M) northbound.

A Ford Focus is pointing the wrong way down the outside overtaking lane, just before the Purbrook turn-off.

The second car, a Mini, is in the same lane.

An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle are at the scene, as of around 1pm.

A spokesman in Hampshire police’s force control room said officers were still at the scene due to an oil leak in the lane.

It was reported as a three-car collision.

Two of the vehicles are due to be recovered.

There is minor damage to the central reservation.

Two pumps and a special equipment vehicle attended from Cosham fire station, along with a pump from Havant fire station.

They were there to make the scene safe and were not used.
