A MAN is fighting for his life after a crash between a motorbike and car in Market Avenue, Chichester.

The biker and his passenger were in collision with a Volvo car at 3.50pm today.

The young rider, a local man, suffered head injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Kings College Hospital, London, for treatment.

His condition is potentially life threatening.

The male passenger suffered what is believed to be minor injuries and was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, in Chichester.

The man driving the car was not injured.

Police are investigating the incident and appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0845 6070 999 quoting serial 1081 5 October 2011.
