A NEW bus lane could be introduced on a busy commuter route.

Portsmouth City Council is considering introducing one between the pedestrian crossings on Northern Road Bridge, Cosham.

The public will be consulted about the move from Tuesday until September 11.

The lane would create a link between the existing bus corridor on Northern Road and Cosham Interchange.

The matter is being handled by Ashley Chapin and Eleni Oulasoglou, who work for the council’s transport and environment team.
