TRAVEL vouchers and bus passes have been sent to more than 110,000 people, in time for Hampshire County Council to launch its concessionary fares scheme.

The council took over the scheme, previously run by district and borough authorities, on April 1.

Since the end of February, it has issued new passes to the over 60s, and disabled people.

Anyone without a new pass can use their current one until Monday. Tokens issued by district and borough councils remain valid until the expiry date agreed.

But anyone who has not received a new bus pass and has not told the council should call 0845 0458355 as soon as possible.

The phone line is open 8.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am-4.30pm on Friday.
